Memory is what remains
Years go by and what survives of a person isn't their possessions: it's four stories, a way of laughing and a few phrases we still repeat. ARBORA was born to put all that somewhere safe.
Why we do it
Every family has its own words, its own silences and its own quirks. There are as many ways to celebrate a life as there are lives, and every one deserves someone to prepare it properly.
That's why we work with one person at a time and without rushing: we listen, take notes, ask again. It's the only way what comes out truly resembles who they were.
We're a small house and we do everything ourselves. We do one thing only: the particular story of each person, written, painted, sculpted or spoken out loud.
What we don't compromise on
Secular or spiritual, as you wish
We have no religious or anti-religious agenda. We prepare the ritual that fits who the person was, whatever that is.
Who's behind it
There are few of us and we do everything ourselves. You'll always know who you're talking to and who's handling your commission.
Who officiates
Farewells are led by a professional celebrant who prepares the script with the family. Not an improvised reader or an add-on in a package.
Who writes
The memoirs are written by journalists and writers. Each family has their own, and it's always the same one from start to finish.
Who answers the phone
There are few of us. Whoever takes your first call is the one who stays with you to the end, and you'll always be able to reach them.
